Client Testimonials on You Tube Showcase Realtor as Trusted Advisor

Realtor Kathleen Siobhan O’Sullivan in Menlo Park, California has done something smart with her clients – she has video taped them talking about their experience with her and uploaded the videos to her own You Tube channel.  The testimonials are genuine, reveal the clients name, and have them talk about their home purchase or sale experience with Siobhan.  They reflect real emotion and capture a genuine appreciation for the work that Siobhan provided.  Each video is about 2 minutes long.  There doesn’t appear to be anything scripted about the testimonial and the testimonials feel authentic and do a great job of building creditability for the real estate services that she provides.  The videos support have Siobhan’s clients positioning her as the trusted advisor.  Web 2.0 is very much a testimonial driven space and this simple idea is a very effective way for Realtors to capitalize on other people raving about them.

Also interesting to note is the use of a You Tube video channel to showcase her testimonials.  This is practical for any real estate professional.  Agents don’t even have to have a website to do this.  They will need a video camera though.  Handheld digital video cameras can be purchased on sites like Amazon.com for around $150 for a camera that will fit in your pocket and creates videos that are easy to upload to sites like You Tube.  Agents can simply create an account on You Tube, customize their own channel with their own look and feel, and upload their videos.

Thanks to Julie Ziemelis for submitting this great example of modern real estate marketing.
