Business Cards with Social Media Infomation | Notecards to Match

Realtor Frank O’Mahony of evolve real estate Santa Fe, uses Twitter to gain real estate leads. But that isn’t what this post is applauding (although his twitter usage for real estate is impressive – I sent a tweet out asking for leads on good Realtors in Santa Fe and within 2 minutes, I had a phone call from Frank which resulted in him showing property to my client 6 weeks later). Instead, this post is applauding the simple and attractive off-line materials that Frank has created which reinforce his brand, highlight his social media know-how, and give clients that personalized touch.
First, Franks business card. The first piece of contact information you get on Frank’s business card is his one phone number (Realtor’s – you have your cell phone with you all the time don’t you? Consider if an office line is really essential on your card), then his email address, followed by his website URL. Next, he lists his Twitter handle, followed by his fax number, and last but not least, his physical address.

Many of the new marketing channels that are appearing with social media sites are really creating more than marketing opportunities for Realtors – they are also creating new communication channels. Twitter is a great example of this. Frank recognizes this and has taken the step to add his twitter contact information to his card. Courtney Cooper has also recognized the communication power of twitter and created sign riders.
On the front side of Frank’s business card is a graphic that is replicated on a 4 x 4 inch foldover notecard that he ordered from moo.com. On that notecard, he as pre-printed his name and contact information. And when he sends clients materials, he uses the notecard to include a hand written note: “Sally – Here is some reading material for you. See you in November! Frank”.

The paper stock weight and presentation of the business card and of the notecard, along with the inclusion of his social media and traditional contact information, make a very impressive presentation to clients and prospects. And the handwritten note is an outstanding personal touch not to be overlooked.
